R3K: Great... Can you tell us about yourself and the
programs you're affiliated with?
Arnaud: I started in the
Internet business with one of the subsidiary of the Canal + / Vivendi /
Universal Group called www.wishline.com. A TV and a website dedicated to luxury
products. Nothing to do with Adult! I was in charge of the online promotion
among the European online market. I came to VirtuaGirl early 2000 as a head of
advertising / promotion with a new challenge for me: The USA/Canada market! : We
are not affiliated with any company yet as our priority was to develop the
advertising and affiliation of our own product. However our plans are now to
make strong partnerships and give access to our unique technology with the
majors adults programs.
R3K: How Long Has VirtuaGirl been in business?
Arnaud: VirtuaGirl is online
since November 1999. Two engineers created the product and formed the company.
We are now 31 people within the company!
R3K: That's pretty large for an Internet based company!
How hard of a struggle was it for you to adapt to the USA/Canada market?
Arnaud: It came naturally. The
product itself is designed to the North American market, not because we
specifically worked on that, but simply because we felt it. We created it just
like we wanted him to be, and it worked!
R3K: right on. Can I ask where you are from?
Arnaud: I am from Paris,
France. This is where our company is based and all the shootings are made here
:)
R3K: The city of love. Eh? LOL
Arnaud: Excellent place to
bring your girlfriend and ask her to marry you!!
R3K: Haha, Well What do you credit with the success of
VirtuaGirl?
Arnaud: The fact that it is
unique, cool, well done -all our animations are digitally remastered to make
them fluid - and light - the .exe demo version is 1.6Mg only and contains 5-6
free animations of 4 different girls
R3K: speaking of .exe, with the abundance of dialers and
other tricky tools out there have surfers became scared to download even from a
well-known site such as yours?
Arnaud: Dialers are indeed
tricky forms of payment. I understand the fear of surfers. However, on
VirtuaGirl we have not known a loss in the number of download. We still have a
1:2 ratio: 1 download for 2 surfers, which is excellent! People know our product
and know we are nothing but cool software. I am amazed on how our product is
popular: "yeah, the little chick dancing on your desktop!" everybody saw or
heard about VirtuaGirl so I guess they have no fear of downloading it!
R3K: can you tell me little about TotemCash, in general?
Arnaud: TotemCash is the
Webmaster cash program for www.virtuagirl.com, www.virtuaguy.com, www.nude.fr
and www.erotica.fr Unique product + excellent domain names = great conversion We
are a 50/50 partnership program. No pay per join program but on a 6 months
period, webmasters make a lot more money because we pay every recurring for
LIFE!
TotemCash is the solution for every webmasters, as our product
does not take away their customers toward their "usual sponsors": VirtuaGirl and
VirtuaGuy convert on a traffic, which would never have converted on the usual
porn paysites We even have non-adult affiliates who are amazed of the profits
they make!
R3K: So your product enhances a conversion and
compliments the webmasters usual sponsors?
Arnaud: Yes. This is additional
money without taking away their existing revenues.
R3K: Nice. When Looking up VirtuaGirl on a search
engines, I see a lot of hacker related links to cheats for the program, what
line of defense are you taking to keep this to a minimal?
Arnaud: There are some hacker's
sites indeed. We are not up to take legal actions against them. This is not our
philosophy. Of course if the guy gets more traffic than us, we'll do something!
But that's Internet, there are hackers and we do not want to go after them! And
when you are hacked, means your product is good, isn't it? ;-)
R3K: A lot of free publicity huh, good philosophy. You
mention to me about a unique way of obtaining traffic can you enlighten the rest
of the readers on that process?
Arnaud: I would rather say "not
so common way" to obtain traffic, especially in the adult industry. As we
convert where other do not convert (freehosts, TGP's, toplist) we purchase
banners using prepaid advertising on these traffic: all our deals are profitable
using this technique. We did since we launched VirtuaGirl. We did not even have
an affiliate program 15 months ago! The fact that our product is unique helped
me a lot to prepay where others do not want to pay a dime: freehost is the
perfect example. Every purchase on a freehost is profitable. Means that any
freehost should promote VirtuaGirl, as it is one of the best programs to get
signups easily. Erotism.com is promoting us since September 2000 and makes huge
money!
R3K: What are some more ways that you are unique in a
marketing aspect, with out give away to many of your secrets
Arnaud: Our banners: strange
format, just a girl stripping on a desktop, no words: curiosity make people
click!
R3K: How long do your members stay in the program once
they sign-up on average?
Arnaud: VirtuaGirl is a great
way to make them join; our feeds are a way to make them stay! We have a
retention ratio of 5 months. At the end, a customer will pay $2.95+ (24.95x5) =
$128. Our affiliate gets $64 per signups in the long run.
R3K: Is the billing process done in house?
Arnaud: no we have two
processors: IBill and CCBill
R3K: Very Good. What can we expect to see of VirtuaGirl
and VirtuaGirl in the future, And also from you?
Arnaud: We are developing more
products based on our technology. You should see them very soon! We'll always
try to find new ways to converts our customers, to make them happy. We will be
in Vegas next January to party... and make some business too (if we have the
time!)... :-)
R3K: Excellent im hoping to see you there! Well Arnaud,
thank you again for a glimpse behind the scenes of VirtuaGirl. You have been
great.
Arnaud: Thanks much it has been
a pleasure to me... especially from Pornresource: this is where I go when I need
to find something - so much information :))
R3K: Thank you, again, im glad we are some help ;-)
